boost leak test kit

I have heard people talking about this, but what does the kit consist of? and where abouts do you connect the air to? is this something that can be bought or is it some home-made thing?

Giving that a go over the weekend.....

You'll pressurise the PCV system and crankcase doing it like that, the pressure will leak out of the oil filler , if the PCV hoses are rotten then they will blow really easily, I'd not go over 1 Bar if I were you. Best to block off the small side pipe from the MAF hose if you want to test it at a decent pressure. The kit also comes with a plug so you can disconnect the inlet manifold and throttle body and just test the IC and Turbo and pipework.

Well, Lee had some kits made up so quite a few of us have them, shame I didn't bring mine down to Cornwall with me, eh?

not to worry, im going to have a go at trying to find my boost leak without the kit first, then when i have no knuckles left, i might have a go at making up this kit.
