    rods and pistons

    hey lads and ladys,

I want to invest in a set of rods and pistons to sort the bottom end on my ABY S2 at the end of this month.

Whats a top choice for a bulletproof engine?

What bolts should I go for?

We can do JE pistons and either SCAT or Eagle rods also.

Shoot me a PM and we'll work you out a good price.

        >>>> ARP Head Studs and Main Bolts

ARP head stud kit washers have too small diameter. Raceware is better.

We just installed one set of ARP studs. The washers are indeed very small. We used the old original washers. They just have to be machined to allow slightly larger stud.

works fine, with 2,5 bars of boost...

more expensive, then others, but bullitproff...

Just for curiosity, how often (km and years) do you open the engine bottom to taste the condition of beaten parts ? Or what is the planned time to open it again for rebuild ?

                    hi

we think the engine will do about 30.000 km, with full trottle.

i only use my car for drag use, an small tours.

we are thinking about getting a gt40 or gt42 on for next year.

i have heard bad about je/pauter/weseco that thees are discount!!

                    but i am nor sure...

i would rather pay a littel more and my car are bullitproff...

I bought mine about three years ago, I think I paid around £800 or so for the steel Arrow 129's back then, although they are now going for £960 so they are not cheap.

I asked Arrow about ti rods, and they didn't stock them for the I5 application although they would make them for a price.

Well, with shipping I guess it's the same price that Verdis cost here, without my discount of course... And the Arrows are I-beam, which I heard should be better?
