Merlin you need the Fumoto valve without the Nipple extension in that case i'd image.
I've still got my old Fumoto valve with the nipple snapped off.
Visitors to Billing a couple of years back will remember the one I got was basically the nippleless (ooh err) version with a nipple glued on. The nipple snapped off and dumped all my oil on the road I removed it ( I was using it as a sump return for my catch tank so the valve was open all the time).
I found it in a box the other day if anyone is interested. It's perfectly useable. It just hasn't got the hose connection on it.

the best intentions are fraught with disappointment - gil grissom
It surprised me hearing of the sump plug probs, I usually don't have a problem loosening it just using a spanner. (Oil done every six months which may help).
I applied a little copper grease to the threads last time though, just to be on the safe side.
You want to get as much of the crap at the bottom of the sump out as possible.
Cheers,
Steve

2hrs, numerous spanners, wrenches, bars, swear words, sockets, more swearing, theats to sell the car and.............still can't get the little f**ker off
Tried it hot and cold, impacting it, everything and i am clean out of ideas. Oh and its nicely rounded now - if i could just get the little sold off then I have a fumoto to go on. Seriously thought about just dropping the sump and buying a new one - then thought stuff it and cleaned the engine instead LOL
Chris's idea sounds better (I managed to get four WELL seized on rear caliper carrier cap headed bolts off my 90 last week with stillsons and heat), but failing that and if it's well rounded maybe welding a larger nut onto the old would do it.
Getting it high enough up in the air and then a big breaker bar is the key, just not enough height on axel stands and then run the risk of damaging yourself or the car.

If you can get the car on a garage ramp to get enough room as Jason suggested to get a decent bar on it to swing on Otherwise it might have to be a struggle mate.
well it went to a local tyre place cos you can usually get someone to take a nosey quickly - i actually had all 3 mechs have a look at it and had one literally hanging off the car on a breaker bay then a set of stillsons and still couldn't shift it...
Went to Halford to see if i could find anything vaguely useful to try and as usual can barely find any tools in that place, just 50 baby car seats, dodgy alloy wheel upgrades and even a football table FFS!!! was just about to give up and I spoke to one of the staff and he mentioned one of the guys had some American tool which works on rounded bolts. Sure enough he dropped it round last night and eureka, after 4 attempts it finally gave up its grip and came off. I'll make it worth his while given that he just dropped it off and said give it back when you're ready - true employee of the month I think...
So, fumoto is installed new filter and Castrol Edge 10w-60 in and I'm now looking fwd to taking it out on Saturday.
