Fitting RS2 Intercooler.......

What needs doing to make it fit?

Do you need an RS2 crossmember or is there a way around this?

Where could i source a crossmember if its needed?
I've not got the intercooler yet, but am wanting to know whats involved...

I remember seeing somewhere here that you can just mod the bracket at the turbo end.

I'm in the same boat Ant. There are a few pictures of guys' brackets they've welded onto the crossmember. They all look different but do the same job!

When I spoke to you about N20 I was all set and sorted to go that route... but changed my mind when I figured another £40 a week might be needed to gas the bottles up Cheaper this way, just more messin' about :S

Anyone fancy taking some measurements etc and we'll have something to go off? Other than that, it's just bumper off, mark where you need holes on a metal bracket, x member off or weld to another crossmember and weld (or get someone to weld) the bracket on and hope the i/cooler fits and isn't lopsided ops:

Now, where to get a supply of 'don't mind if they get ruined' x members...

i cut the old bracket off with angle grinder, welded a bit of 4mm steel bar to it and bent it to fit then welded to OE cross member
