Can anyone tell me how to check the tempreature gauge,its not working on my 3b, a I understand you short a wire, but I need to no which wire cheers.

Most probably you have faulty MFTS, not the wiring. BTDT on three cars (including mine). After MFTS replaced - it started to show coolant temperature.Originally posted by 220bhp

Note, that new MFTS (if it's really new) will have less pins than old one. It's OK.

I just got my mfts through the post, and sods law the gauge works again
But i will still change the sensors get the small one as well

Yeah - my temp gauge is intermittent. I guess this is a common problem.. so changing the MFTS cures this yeah in the majority of cases? Is this a cheap fix?

if memory serves, the guys at VAG parts are ALOT cheaper than the Audi stealers
