ive been meaning to check to see if a rotor arm from a Golf 16v (I think!) will fit - Marty at Vagparts remembers something about one possibly being used and if so they're easy to get hold of.
Of course changing the b*gger is another rmatter!!

yep its right a golf one fits the 20v ,i fitted one f on mine,my old rotor is bonded on so u need to smash it to get it off, but do it careful and i mean careful dont get the mogrips on and twist or thats one dead dizzy,so nice n steady mogrips or pliers crush it,but also remember to cover the dizzy up with a rag so bits dont go all over it.

oh and a polo for work.
Don't know if it is relevant to the S2 dizzy, but years ago a mate had an old 5cyl Audi Coupe (1.9L engine? ) and he replaced the rotor arm with one from a 5cyl Passat.
I seem to remember that it was because the Audi's rotor arm had a mechanical rev limiter (spring loaded contacts) and the Passat one didn't. After that he used to rev that thing to over 8K rpm and the poor old thing just went for ever

Smash the old rotor off and glue the new one on. Get a 7A rotor and file down the tip to the same size as the old one, or use a Toyoa rotor P/N 19102-02020 according to Mihnea.
If the old one is bonded on, presume I would need to bond on the new one, or does it fit nice and tight? Didn't want to put one on and have it explode everywhere
