Loosing boost

Hi all, my first post.
As the title says i'm loosing boost, in third gear and abouve it starts at .8 bar then fluctuates dropping of till arround .5 bar as the revs increase. it feels a little sluggish and some days feels really dead (only just fitted boost guage so i have no figures on what the boost is doing when the car feels really dead lol) also the guage has recorded a spike of 1.2 bar. I've only had the car about 6weeks and in that time twice when driving the car from cold and when warm it would not go passed arround 2500rpm and juddered very violently, stoped the car switched the ignition of then started the car again, drove of and all was fine
Sorry fogot to mention the car is a '91 think it's a 3a engine (sorry not verry clued up on it yet lol)
Any sudgestions would be great

Sounds like you have a boost leak, one of the pipes in the inlet tract between turbo and inlet manifold probably, try a search for pressure test and boost leak and you should throw up a few posts, its the most common subject around here

Oh and you could always write in scottish if your english is not so good
