    3B distributor help

Been checking over as many things as I can with my limited knowledge, can someone tell me if there should be movement at the distributor cap?
If you hold the cap exactly where the plug leads attatch, can you wobble the dizzy? or should it all be solid feeling?
There is not a huge , huge, movement, but definately more than I was expecting....
I was thinking it should feel quite solid, or am I wrong...?
    Someone please let me know...!
    Cheers

IIRC there is some movement on the cap. As you mentioned its not a great deal.

I'll no doubt find out when i change mine tomorrow.

There's a thought, have you checked your static timing? put car in gear and push it forward untill flywheel mark lines up, then check dizzy marks. (may need another rotation as dizzy moves at half speed) You must come forward onto the marks, they must line up perfectly. Then remove fuses to clear faults and drive. Worth a go.

Just changed my dizzy cap about 5 mins ago, slight bit of movement on the cap but no movement anywhere else. Hope this cures my slight miss fire.

Defo worth checking he timing marks as Newsh said.

Thanks for that, I will check tomorrow, its dark now... Am I right saying there is a '0' on the flywheel visible throug the bellhousing window... and this has to be centred / split, right, and then you remove the dizzy cap and all should become clear...?
By the way, is the a moisture trp on the vacuum hose to the ECU on all S2@s? as mine doesn't have one... wondering now if the MAP sensor is b******d (again).
          Cheers

Yes on the timing marks. I don't think my ecu line has a moisture trap The ur has though.
