No lubrication of the turbo is done on the journal bearings by the oil lines to the turbo.
Oil in the PCV would simply pass through the impellers.
i dont understand what you wanted to say here: "on the journal bearings by the oil lines to the turbo"
i know the turbo has it own line of oil, so everything is lubificated and cooled from the inside of the turbo, but my opinion is, that the oil fumes give some lubrification on the outisde, reducing temp and wear.

Err and what exaclty would the oil vapour be lubricating then??
The rotors rotate on the journal bearing and dont touch the side of the compressor housing so there's nothing external to lubricate.
Wear on the rotors happens when forgein bodies go into them.
And how would the oil vapour reduce temp? oil vapour would be hot from coming out of the engine and also due to the length of the hydrocarbon chains oil doesn't exactly compress well.
The only thing the oil vapour lubricates is the slip joints on the intake pipes and pcv system , the oil vapour being dumped into the turbo is nothing to do with lubricating the turbo its to do with getting rid of fumes so they dont vent to atmosphere.

What about the bolt in front of the cool side rotor? Im not arguing, but i would like to be sure before doing any damage. i would like to get ride of the oil fumes very much, but need to be sure that this will do no harm to my turbo.
You could replace it with WD40 injection. The blast from the can would help the turbo spool quicker, plus you could run more advance from the higher octane rating of the WD40. Or not.

That bolt is there to keep the rotor on the shaft, it doesn't require lubrication and is infact locited to the centre shaft.
Ok what about the increased pressure in the oil pan and in the whole engine too, since the turbo is sucking the fumes in, but with the catch tank you actually block the fumes...

I think you need to take this into your own thread to end this hijack and read the threads on the forums regarding catch tanks.
I've still got mine plumbed into the inlet just with teh catch tank in the middle, I don't think it does 5/8ths of FA if the level is any indication, seems to be mainly water I'm going to plug the inlet and go for a filter when the company on Ebay bloomin' well send it to me
WD40 injection, I'd forgotten about that , hasn't Chris (yogi730) got air injectors pre-compressor? They could be modded :mischeif:

i used a tank and routed to atmosphere, cause it was too much of a hassle to get the fumes back in the turbo. Once the new stuff comes in next year i may be able to reroute the fumes to the inlet and keeping the tank as well to avoid having the sludge.
