    Oil according to manufacturer

Okay there are a thousand oil topics (also on the 5 cilinder Audi engines), but to be honest I can't find which oil viscosity Audi is recommending for our 5 cilinder turbo engines (S2, RS2, UrQuattro, SportQuattro, etc).

I do have a german instruction manual but this is only for the normal coupe and this is for all except the S2, but only states the VW-Norms... there is an extra instruction manual for the S2 but there is no mention about the oil in this one...

So who can give me the Audi recommendations (from manuals or otherwise)?

(Please only make a reply with the official Audi information, as I have read most opinions on the internet and in this forum)

Obviously not because in the biggest oil thread on the forum it's stated in there is 10w40 or any sae 40 oil with Oilman breaking it down into even finer detail.

Indeed and 10w-40 semi would be the minimum required quality for a stock road car.

0w-40 or 5w-40 synthetic is always a better option quality-wise unless the car is modded and generating more heat in which case we recommend the move to a beefier 10w-50 or 15w-50 as a sensible upgrade to cope with the mods.

          Cheers
