I'm currently installing an aby loom into my 1989 ur quattro. Would the above apply to me also?
I also have the green wires and a couple of red ones spare, are the fuse boxes the same?
Ring terminals in the second picture are earthed by the fusebox. Diagnostic feed.
Ignore the red plug in a type 85 chassis.
Black plug in third picture is for your dash instruments - water temp, brake fluid warning (grey / yellow) coolant level, alternator and a few others. Give me the colours, and I'll tell you what they are. Been some time since I fitted an S2 engine to a type 85 chassis.

Nice one delta, I'll let you know what colour the spare wires from the urq loom are aswell. There are about 2 single wires from the aby loom left over and also the plug that jon posted a pic of in the first post.
Not sure what to do about the alternator loom. Was going to remove it from an s2 as its seperate to the aby engine loom and fit it into the ur or is there an easier way? I'm leaving the alternator on the passenger side whereas its normally fitted to the drivers side on the ur and the wiring to it is part of the ur engine loom.
