    New Samcos Same Problem

Fitted my samcos today ,and boy what a differance,I can feal the car boosting now, it pulls all the way to the red line now and feal more like my s6 on exceleration, but the car still has this violent cut out, mostley below 2000revs, but somtimes over;it dos;nt seem to boost as well when this happens, and somtimes it cuts out when you de;excelerate,This is not a misfire, its more like a violent jolt, then the car continues to run as normal, but it seems with less boost, The car has much more power than its ever had before, and all the the issues regarding idle, red turbo and overheating are now gone, apart from this cutting out, which I thought was a damaged maf hose, but the samcos haven;t cured it, if any thing its a little worse.
So I am in need of your help and advise yet again, because I don;t have a clue what to look for next.
    MANY THANKS LOU

Try wiggling your ignition key with engine running. sounds like a full ignition cut. the switches don't last for ever...

    Best of luck,

Thanks for that Rob, the ignition switch was changed last year, but your right it is like a complete ignition failure, but it seems to be related to lower revs, and slower running.
      Cheers LOU

Is it a 3b or ABY? or neither.
        What does vagcom show up?
Have you replaced your fuel pump and fuel filter as part of an elimination procedure...if not then I most certainly would to rule the pump out

        oh yeah...and vagcom it asap!!.

The car is a 3b, and the fuel filter has just been replaced ,but not the fuel pump as jet.as far as vagcom is concerned,is there anyone near me with it or is it back to AUDI.

Checked the distributor/ rotor/ HT leads? Checked that all 5 spark plugs are securely fitted? Are they the right sparkies and when where they last changed?

Do you have a boost gauge on it? Maybe just overboosting? Stock wategate spring or has it been changed or screwed right down?

I haven't got round to fitting a boost gauge yet, but as far as I know the wastegate is standard and untuched.

Now as far as the car is concerned, I have just been told by a local guy that these are the symptoms of a dodgey coil, I am wondering if any one on hear has any views on this.
                      Many thanks Lou
