ref's whistle

i can't describe it as anything else,under mid/high boost i get a sound similar to a ref's whistle.with the passenger window open you can really here it,the car is running fine and is definately not running lean (checked with wideband sensor),no boost leaks either.sound dies off as revs/boost settle at high rpm.turbo is new,did the same with the old one but did not always make this sound.any ideas?

sounds like no turkey for me this christmas!i have got an s3 dv i am going to fit,i cant here any noise from the manifold when revving up/head under bonnet am just concerned it sounds a bit like pinking but it is too constant and the mixture is spot on.
i will try the dv first and let you know
