At 68 crawling up under the dash board to fix this is painful.

Lol, I feel your pain.. driver's seat out and lots of cushions needed, then you'll get comfy, have a wee nap and need help to get out again.

John the real problem is reaching my colour co-ordinated Zima frame in order to get out of the car.

S2 fixed with a new made up rod .Bit of a ****** getting the circlip out was a pain but managed it.
Still had to bleed the clutch though .
The replacement is a straight bar without the so called flexi joint . I have know idea why Audi put that joint in other than to boost there sale of spare parts.
May be its some sort of shock absorber.
If anyone knows it would be interesting to hear.
Now all I have to do is fix my s6.

The new ignition switch for the s2 arrived today . Dave very kindly put up a link on replacing it ,But it is for an s6. I assume it is pretty much the same on my 3b s2

Took the car for a spin and it blew the water hose at the back of the head . What next
