Bulk 12.9 bolts work well here.

The four allen bolts are available from Audi, but I boight some bolts the right size on line.

As for the washer if it hasn't been replaced for a while, I couldn't source one before for TPS or Audi Tradition so I didnt have much choice but to reuse the existing washer. I changed it when I rebuilt the engine last so wasn't too worried. Im not 100% if they are supposed to be replaced on each change though

This one won't fit the petrol engines, the TDi one is longer.

Why does the ABY have the washer and the earlier cars don't use it? The cranks are the same and I can't see there being much difference in the front pulley.

it sits the pulley out a bit. makes belt run true. its really a spacer. it was A 25 QUID spacer like 10 yrs ago.

if you do like i did first time and use it as a washer on the crank bolt the pulley will run the belt into the casing.

was 25 quid i needn't have spent back in the day

I found a washer in the middle hole of the original timing gear, I take it then that is not the washer we are talking about?
