Oil warning light coming on

Every few km I drive, the oil light comes on but the car has oil. It's a 1997 S6.
I hope it's not the oil pump. Can anyone tell me where the oil pressure switch is located, it might be a faulty switch

is this since you blocked up the turbo oil return line?

Only a observation of your post ref oil restriction to turbo. If anyone gives you advice on this problem, will you ignore this to.

Hi, I have a AAN S4 and have the same problem. Oil pressure gauge show normal values. The engine is running smooth and quite, but the oil warning on board computer randomly appears. I suspect oil warning light sensor, but haven't have the time to replace it.

In my case I was planning to change F22, because warning appears at idle also. F1 should be taken into consideration above 2000 rpm.

Could also be something wrong with the cluster "board computer" itself(bad solder etc.).

Yes, if the warning still appears after F22 is changed I will check the wiring and the board computer cluster.
