Recommended Bypass/cut-off valve on S2 with RS2 upgrades

I am looking for recommendations on what to use to replace the BPV on my ABY. Apart from the ABY standard valve.

I have an S2 with RS2 upgrades and stage three software from Prj

Is there an alternative Audi Valve that can be use? And out of the alternative after marked valves which has proved itself as a great replacement and why?

I would prefer it to fit in the original position without any modifications.

Please supply part numbers or name if you can.

The S3 / 1.8T BPV works a treat and is recommended by MRC as better than a forge billet valve.

You should be able to easily buy it from Audi.

Bosch 110 "Motorsport". I wanted to stick it on mine, before selling it. OEM valve on SAAB's, can still be found with their PN - 4441895.

Do you want it to make noise or be quiet? If you're looking for quiet, get one of these:-

The APR R1 Diverter Valve is a critical performance upgrade recommended at all stages of performance as it replaces the failure prone factory unit. The R1 is designed withstand extreme boost pressures at the highest levels of performance, while offering lightning fast response thanks to the unit’s friction-free diaphragm-based design

Had one on mine for 5-6years now and it's been faultless, not cheap I know, and no chavvy noises either!

Standard sounding BPV is ok by me.

There appears to be different opinion on the valve to use.

06A145710N people are saying this is the strongest !!!
            06A145710P from the RS6 has a weaker spring !!!

newsh are you using the 06A145710P?

The APR R1 Diverter Valve also looks very nice. Not very OEM looking, not sure that's a concern right now.

I *suspect* the 110 Valve is the same as the 710P??

The 710N is NLA and has been superseded by the 710P. Would be strange if the spring was weaker.

This info is from my local Audi dealer.

The OEM Audi S2 and RS2 use the valve 034145710B available at an Audi dealer.

RS6 and others use the 06A145710P. The 710N version has been replaced. Also available at an Audi dealer.

The cost of the 710P is R655 compared to the 710B at R980.

Is the OEM 710B better than the 710P?

It costs more to get the OEM part but money does not always mean its better.

Basically I am left with two options.

Should I use an original 710B or the 710P RS6 upgraded version.

Use the 710P that’s what I’ve used on all my cars and as said was recommended by MRC!

I've just fitted a 710P to mine. It's cured the fluttering noise I was getting on throttle lift off. The one I removed was the original from 1993

                          Another wait.

How easy is it to fit?

If you have the airbox and all the headlight plastics in place it might be easier from underneath with the undertray off. In any case it’s only 2 jubilee clips

Nice having to strip the car again. Part of owning an S2 I am told !!!

Just had an 80mm plug made for blocking the MAF outlet pipe, will be going through the complete turbo piping system to check for leaks while waiting for the BPV to arrive.
