    Rev counter problem?

Hi all, i've have a small problem with the rev counter. The counter works to about 3000 rpm then drops to 0. But the engine is still working ok. And no fault light on. Any pointers please.

Is there any peeling on the dials? It could be a dry joint in the cluster also

No peeling on any dials or lose connections so i'm stumped? I've tried two ecu's one from a aby and one from a aan engine. The only one which worked was a 3b type when i ran a dizzy set up. Now i'm on pencil coils.

          Did you fix it?
I’ve got a weird issue with my rev counter, it over reads by about 500-1000 rpm, at 3k it’s at about 4K (guessing)
          But it floats, not consistent.

I guess I should check with Vagcom and see what that’s reading..

I used a pull down 10k resister which worked.
