In the picture 1 is the an6 fitted straight on the hose from tank and 2 is the m14x 1.5 to an6 isn't it? Just to be sure I order the right bits.

Looks like number 1 is an m14x1.5 to female -AN
and number 2 is a M14x1.5 to male AN adaptor.

Do you think fitting No1 can be done in situ with the tank in the car? It's a straight pipe from memory so I'm assuming it's a hardline connector, possibly 8mm.

That picture is of my tank, pretty certain that number 1 is this

Although it's a straight barb, I seem to remember there is a ridge on the end that has to be removed to allow the olive to slide on. Tricky to do with the tank in the car.

the problem with these, the hard line inside the tank has very small diameter, like 4.3mm, you can put -an6 fitting on it outside but it will still restrict the flow

ive removed those small lines inside the tank and replaced with 8AN Stainless Steel.

I did AN8 fittings from the original fuelpump holder on the tank , and AN8 all the way.
              I have a s2 avant.

Probably the smallest diameter pipe is the return that's why is that small.

varia On the ends of the pipe inside the tank, is there any fitting or just nothing? Return is clear to me, but feed from pump is just push on the pipe with some clamp?
