Coupe - AAN swap cooling fan wiring question

I've been a member for quite some time but I don't post very often. I'm wrapping up a CQ-AAN swap at the moment, and I'm looking for clarity on the radiator fan wiring. I've swapped an ADU harness into my coupe, and I have the 500w fan that I'm integrating. I'm a little confused about the after run fan circuit.

Is it as simple as using the red/white wire from the original coupe fan harness?

The coupe wiring diagram shows the red/white coming from J138, pin 87, but I'm confused as to which way current flows from it (if this is a stupid question, please don't make fun of me too hard).

It just seems odd that if, on the original coupe harness, current flows from pin 87 on that "relay," that it would be a smaller wire on the back side of that resistor than on the other side that goes toward the low speed relay on the next page. Sorry if that description is confusing.

All I really need to know/confirm is, if I'm wiring the 500w fan in my Coupe, and I've swapped in an ADU harness, where does the red/white after-run fan circuit wire come from?

Again, sorry if this is a stupid question. Literally one of the last things I need to button up before being able to get it on the road, along with some vacuum line routing and getting the front end back on the car.

Obviously if that is the correct wire, I'll have to send it to a relay before I connect it to the fan.

    Thanks in advance.

By after run circuit you mean after ran timer module 272 in position 3 on the fuse box?
S2/RS2 don't have this circuit module. There is regular relay instead of it.
K8 connects to resistor pack with 2.5mm2 wire.
See the scematic for non aircon. If you have aircon the wiring might be different.

Thanks for the quick response. If looking at the S2 diagram that you linked, I'm talking about the red/white wire going from J101/pin 87 to E2 on the resistor pack. I get totally lost as to what happens to that after-run circuit after the J155 relay/controller when that harness is adapted to a Coupe. There's a lot going on between J155 and J101 even.

On the diagram I linked, I cant find any connection between J155 and J101.

Currently your car has relay 272 in position 3 on the fusebox?
        Does your car have AC?
Does it have the external restitor pack?
        Do you have J155 controller?

Your linked diagrams seems faulty, and they are for a fan that has integrated resistor and no AC.

I assume originally it was wired like this. Check the last 2 pages.

Does your car have AC? Yes
Does it have the external resistor pack? Yes, and I now have the 3-position resistor pack to compliment the 500w fan
Do you have J155 controller? Yes, it was included with the RS2 harness that I picked up.

Thanks again for the response, although I'm not completely sure we're on the same page. I'll check into the relay 272, but if it wasn't included from the factory with my coupe, I don't think it will be there. I should clarify, it's a North American coupe that originally had a 7A, which I swapped the RS2/ADU harness into. I realize my original description was pretty scatter-brained.

I think the J155 controller/relay is what triggers the J101 relay in the S2 diagram. I guess that's the info I'm missing. Once you swap the RS2 harness into a coupe, I don't know what happens to that "trigger" from J155, which is supposed to control the relay that switches on the fan for the after-run system. Hopefully I'm making sense.

2.2T engines have afterrun module (J155) for pump and fan, it is located under the dash. In the fusebox, in position 3, there is simple relay.
7A engines have fan only afterun module (J138) has number 272 printed on the top. Located in the fusebox, in position 3.

As your car is 7A, you should have afterrun module in that position, labeled 272, remove it and replace it with simple relay.

As I said before there is no connection between J155 and J101. Maybe you can screenshot the diagram and draw how you think it is connected or triggered.

J101 is triggered by thermo switch on radiator F18.

J155 triggers a simple relay J26 on postition 3 in the fuse box.

Forgot to ask, is it a manual or digital ac?

That makes a ton more sense, thank you for that. My car has digital ac.
