    Problem with MAF sensor

I had a couple of topics before but i still haven't figured out the problem yet, and im desperate for help.

The old MAF sensor was broken and gave 12V constant on the signal cable. Ordered a new one, actually got two, and the car doesn't limp but running more rich than ever. Unplug the MAF and the car runs perfect.

The inside of the MAF sensor doesn't look anywhere close to the old one, but seems to give me the right voltage on signal cable. Changed a couple of hoses, also the PCV. I have no leaks at all exept between the turbo and downpipe.

Can someone please give me some advice? Can it be the MAF sensor still?

From ebay. Can't find them anywhere else. But since I get the right voltage from this one, can it still be the problem?

Your problem could be with the new maf yes coz you cant be 100% sure if its made correctly. What car is it for ?. I think if I remember right Colesy had a new one for sale for a S2 aby a few mouths ago although I could be wrong pm him. I guess you don't know anyone near you to see if you can pop the ebay maf on their car to check its working. Audi part number air meter a034133471.

I bought this one and the Bosch number is 0280213007. But as you say, maybe it's the reason because it doesn't look the same ibsins as the original. Doesn't have the platinawire, just something else .

            Buy this one:

It actually has a fair price for being Audi-Tradition.
https://www.sundsvall.audi-aterforsaljare.se/ <- these should be able to help you order the part from AT since AT web credit card payment is broken unfortunately.

If you would have been more local to me you could have tried my new MAF from AT.

Thanks! I'll save that for later. I'll try to get a used one first so I don't waste my money for nothing. Still not sure if it's the MAF or something else that isn't good. What about the map sensor? Can it make the car run rich? I mean - it running so rich that I can't even drive.

Any fault codes after replacement? Maybe the ECU needs a reset after the MAF replacement (not able relearn some control values etc.)?

Nothing regards the MAF, just a code for the N75 because I don't have it. The car have been running great with exactly the same things I have installed now, just beside the MAF

Don't go getting a second hand unit coz it's a unknown quantity. You still won't be 100% sure if it works right. Colesy is doing a last group by with audi tradition NCTS. You have already wasted money on the ebay unit don't waste time & money on second hand unit. Have you got any fault codes ?

How exactly do you "test" it?
If it "works" in so far that the ECU does not give a fault code, that doesn't mean jack ****.
