  • Wagner Evo2 Gen.2 intercooler intstal question

    Hi,
At the weekend I started to fit my Wagner intercooler along with the BST inlet manifold and have a question regarding the fitment of the boost hose from turbo to the intercooler.

The current hoes is not long enough and is also at a different angle so will not line up with the adaptor that came with the intercooler.

Has anyone else come across this before or has a solution? Turbo is in the original location.

You have to chop the old hose, then use a piece of metal tube to join the old hose to a reducer that mounts onto the IC

Okay thanks, was thinking I would need to do something like that but wasn't sure about the angles.

        It's a shame...
so expensive and you must cut your hose and search and buy a metal ring

Yeah I know. Nothing aftermarket seems to be an easy fit

I used a 45deg silicone and a alu 90 with reducer at turbo.
Think the pipe and hose were 70mm

Looks like an easy enough solution but where is the DV located?

Oh yea never though about that as mine is on the turbo.
Suppose you could fab a metal tee or use a silicone branch but starts getting expensive.
Whats your plan for the throttle side?

Maybe I could use the old silicone pipe which attaches to the throttle with the tee for the ISV
I have the silicone pipe from the intercooler kit and a reverse BST manifold that I am currently trying to fit.
