Can I use the ABY frequency valve instead of the 3B one, reason is I've got a brand new one sitting here and it actually fits nicer (in my alternative location) than the stock 3B one.
I'm just wondering if they are electriclly and operationally the same and will not affect the mapping.
I'm pretty sure they are the same, apart from the hose connections are a different way round. If you are changing to the ABY/ADU hoses it sounds like a good idea.
There are certainly some N75s that behave differently. The 1.8T guys are always mucking about with their H and J valves, trying to get more aggressive boost.
Cool, thanks for the replies chaps! I've just swapped it and been for a short run, all seems well its much tidier with the connector turned through 90deg.
I'm sure Audiman has tried it and it didn't work. Shame he's not around to ask!
I am sure you are right Jamo but I think it was due the way it was connected (as Greg mentions) rather than the WGFV at fault. Then again I am relying on my memory
Yes, the ABY one wouldn't fit in the stock 3B position as the connector would foul the hoses, the normal position on the 3B stinks anyway, thats why I have it up top by the headlight so I can get to it.
