    How to rotate turbine housing?

I'm about to install my head complete with a new turbo, but I'm pretty sure that the connction for the oil return line will be hitting the chassis.
So, I guess it's possible to rotate the center section?
Is it as easy as releasing all the bolts on the hotside and rotate the center? And the same procedure to rotate the coldside?
Anyone got torque-specs for these bolts?

    Yep easy as that

You'll want the oil return as close to vertical as you can get it.

We had to do this with Ross's GT3071 kit from 034 I see 034 have tapped the boost signal nipple for you... We had to do this in my garage, i bit scarey with a brand new turbo which isn't yours

Oh, make sure you tighten the bolts equally... abit like torquing down a cylinder head

Not sure on the torque specs, You could use a 3/8 torque wench and adjust it till it clicks.

You must have the oil feed as close as 12 o'clock as possible, otherwise the oil won't lube the bearings and then the turbo will wear out really really fast, maybe even after a few minutes of running.

No more leaning than 3-4 degrees from 12 o clock, that's what I've been tought and I've never wrecked a turbo yet...

It's just like you said, loosen all the bolts a few turns, then just turn the oil feed 12 o clock and keep the compressor housing in the way you want it, fasten 2-3 nuts at each side, and se how it ligns up, and then torque them down.

Thanks for the help guys, wasn't hard at all. Just a bit scary to undo all the bolts on a brand new turbo not really knowing what you are doing.
Rotating the cold side also gave me a better angle on the intercooler hose.

Yeah, I've read the thread about Ross's mods and noticed the picture were you are tapping this nipple, thats why I asked 034 to do it for me. It's a great thing learning from others experiences.
