RS2 Waste gate where do I connect the vacuum pipe?

I remember now had a WR UR and yes it was connected at the upper waste gate looking at the RS2 it has a tube coming out from the lower part of the wastegat controlling the pressure

The connector is a relic of the 10V Turbo engine, where boost was regulated via controlling the pressure of the upper wastegate chamber.
On 20V Turbos, the boost is regulated via controlling the pressure of the lower chamber.

The larger one with the banjo on the WG lower chamber connects to the face of the turbo cold side via the N75. This controls the boost.

It's there to check if the diaphragm is split by fitting a vacuum pump to it and pulling a vacuum. If the vacuum falls you have a leak/split in the diaphragm.

Great I thought it was there to control the turbo over boosting the engine

The two responses above both say its not used. I guess it might not connect to anything...

There is a connection that's not used. Have you got a pic so we are talking about the right one?
