Repairing Accelerator Pedal

Has anyone made a tidy repair to one of these? Is the foot part replaceable? It looks like it just snaps into the main arm but I can’t get it out.

The pedal is easy to replace and doesn't cost much from Audi

Didn’t know they were different
I looked up on 7Zap, part number given for 1992 is 8A2 721 507
These are shown as available on Trad but of course you can’t add to basket

My 90 20v pedal is held together by a self tapping screw. It's been like that for 15 years now

I presume it is not possible to rerofit the later plastic version to a 3b pedalbox?

ah no you are right, just rechecked and was looking at the LHD version thinking it was supersession instead...duh
