    10v engine noise

    Hello!

Any experts who can help me indentify what could make this kind of noise, it doesn't sound normal to me.
On cold start it will appear after ca: 2 minutes.

I’m betting it goes up and down in frequency with the engine rpm, right?

Ours spun a rod bearing a few years ago and it was a similar racket. If you have a long screwdriver, use it like a stethoscope, placing it on various points on the engine and to your ear, hopefully you’ll find the approximate area, that’ll at least point you in the right direction.

I’d be tempted to drain the oil and check the filter for metal flakes as well.

    It is clearly not happy.

Might be crack in exhaust manifold or exhaust gasket leak. These usually change as the engine warms up.
10 valves are prone to EM leaks.

I Refurbished the cylinder head just a couple of years ago, and put on a "new" crack free exhaust manifold.
