Opened my ECU in my S2 (3b) , was actually surprised in a good way for once
Noticed it was a MTM 295 chip setup with a Vmap-D (2.5/3bar) from LaanTech.
Not sure if the MTM is an original or a clone, haven't bothered taking off the stickers on the chip yet.
- Is there a manual/pdf/sheet on setting with jumpers on the vmap-d ? Didn't find anything online. (wondering if it's set correctly, probably but want to be sure).
- Was the MTM 295 made for a standard setup straight from factory or other adjustments needed? (some say 4bar fuel pressure or rs2 injectors?)
Before I started upgrading/refreshing my S2 I had a few pulls where it went to approx 1.4 bar (on a cheap turbo pressure gauge).
Then it suddently drops very hard to 1bar / under a bar. Difficult to see while I'm driving.
I've not gotten any VCDS errors except a G40 (hall sensor) error once or twice. But the car feels lazy, like its 170hp in it (not 295ps)..
MAF is cleaned, lambda is changed, new hoses allround from do88 , magnecor leads will be installed, fixing the g40 sensor with new rotor tip (was 18mm not the 10mm tip recommended..) distributor cap/housing (looks a bit worn out), a k24 7000 hybrid turbo.
Got a new n75 and the diverter valve? is ordered.(resirk valve?) .
Going to check O-ring in intercooler piping/bar and try check the other vacuum hoses that goes to the ECU , wgfc etc etc.
Suggestions? Does it sound like a boost leak?
It pulls "normal" until approx 4000-4500rpm and on full throttle it starts to "stutter" and it seems like all torque and effect is gone.. Other than that its very driveable, okay in low rpm, idle is good etc. Did a solenoid test, N75 didnt react to it then but everything else seemed fine. Havent tried it after that.
