Just changing the gasket as I had a small oil leak from the turbo oil return to block pipe. Did a search here and found 10nm for the bolts. These are M8 so that seems very low
An internet search suggests 18ft lb (24nm) which sounds more like it. Anyone have the Bentley manual and can check for me please?

I use a little RTV on both sides of the gasket and snug it up. I'd guess at 20Nm.You can't really go wrong as the bolts are M8 and the flange on the return pipe is thick.
I bet anything over 20Nm will crush the gasket. If it leaks tighten it a little. I use the Audi 200 workshop manual which is correct for my 3B. The ABY might have been revised.
