Boost leak or wrong procedure of test?

I have an issue here. After i replaced all vacuum hoses i wanted to do a boost leak test, with a kit i bought last year since i hadnt done one all this time.

i couldnt even manage to get air into the system. It kept coming out!!!
i connected the MAF plug with the valve, and also the small one you see in the picture.

the air was coming off the dump valve and N75valve area but i couldnt determine where excactly!i think i have to dismantle the front bumper to check the hoses below the intercooler....

but if i was loosing so much air so fast, how could i be having a good boost at 3500rpm holding 1.5bar as it should? Is it possbile?

also could all this air leaking be having anything to do with my rich mixture and my emmissions?

you also need to plug the crank case breath pipe
use a 3/8 extension bar unless you have something
that will fit in ,i think its 25/26 mm i/d
but i've been known to be wrong

i pluged that but on the side of the big samco hose not the side of the crack case

thing is that i have 3 bungs.one 2 of them fit the hoses in the picture above and the third one does not fit the hose on the right of the turbo to maf hose(the one that brings the air to the intake manifold from the intercooler),because the bung is of larger diameter. However i think it would fit the samco hose that connects that metal tube to the butterfly valve.is that any good?

i did many searches around this forum.noone really clearly mentions what hoses you bung in order to measure what excactly...

can someone do that so we know what we are pressurising each time?

          many thanks

The breather that Topsparky means is on the side of the big MAF hose, it is 20mm and I think it is the one you have marked "Plug 2" so I think you have plugged the correct one. You can also plug the hose on the right of the MAF hose where it connects to the tube but it is not essential , you may get some air leaking past the valves and piston rings and the throttle body pivot without this plug. It seems like you have quite a bad leak in one of the pipes near the Diverter Valve or maybe the valve itself or the WGFV. This could cause rich mixture. You will have to take a few things off and have a look.

a friend of mine told me that it is possible that my forge DV has stayed in the OPEN position since it stays that way on idle, and so as the car is switched off it stays open so all the air escapes from the DV.

Is that possible?if so how do you eliminate the issue so i can do the test?

Is the forge valve a Dump valve or a Diverter valve? If its a diverter valve it will not leak if its open or closed. If its a Dump to atmosphere valve it should only open with vacuum on the small tube if its open at idle its stuck or there is a hole in the diaphragm or the piston is broken. Check the WGFV visually for leaks, I've had one with the solenoid coming loose. Also check all the small tubes around the WGFV for leaks. Maybe one of the tubes has rubbed on the chassis or headlight surround and has a hole.

i thought dump and diverter valves had the same meaning. My valve is the 007 forge which works the same way as the original one.

it is a liitle odd to have stuck in the open position as it only has 5000kms on it,it is new and it seems to work on 1.5bar good!

The 007 is a diverter valve so cannot be open to atmosphere, a diverter sends the air back to the face of the turbo when it opens. Open or closed it cannot leak, the air noise must be coming from somewhere else.
