Stalling issue

how difficult is for a tuner to make a ECU program for the MAF to the pressure side? -
Mark, I think you don't understand me. Bosch never has and never will use english terms for a map name or ID. Bosch has always been and is so far German, and uses German terms only. End of the story.Leave a comment:

Okay been back in the office for a few days and have managed to look up standard Bosch ECU functions and ORFCO is listed for Jetronic systems but not listed for Motronic systems but then my Bosch handbook is 11 years old so it may be listed in a later issue.Leave a comment:

When she is next in Dave we will machine some grooves onto the areas where the hoses sit so it gives a bit of bite.Software alone wouldn't fix it - it even had a standard ECU in temporarily as a test. With the MAF moved to the pressure side it hasn't stalled once since. I did blow a hose off the exit side of the MAF last week though. I need to somehow hold the two hoses either side from pulling away from each other. Having said that, the hose hasn't come of again and it's been pushed hard since.Leave a comment:

ORFCO in Bosch speak for the S2 is called TLSN or tl schwelle für schubabschalten. Or load threshold for deceleration cut off in simple terms.
Corey, I thought I had understood that the software you got on that particular car fixed the stalling issue, nothing more. If I understood it wrong, then great. Nothing more, nothing less.Leave a comment:

Would have to admit I'm not an expert on Bosch ECU's so couldn't comment on whether an ORFCO map is present, but I suspect that their must be either an ORFCO or deccel fuel map otherwise we would have flame throwers for exhausts, unfortunately my Bosch blue book is in the office and I am stuck at home for the time being so I can't check up on Bosch's thinking.

Hi, Well the Coupe has had quite the overhaul; spec roughly as follows: Rebuild w/ forged rods, RS2 head-gasket, RS2-EM, RS2-IC 37lb injectors, 4.2bar FPR GT3071-R MRC remapped by Mihnea (996 brakes and uprated suspension of course!) I've updated this thread on the S2 forum, from page 4...
You mean this thread? I don't actually think I said anywhere that your software was causing the stalling, merely the car had an issue.
Yet again you seem to be determined to drive a wedge between us two, I cannot see your logic but whateverLeave a comment:

BTW Corey, I thought the initial stalling issue was long fixed by some miraculous software that you catered for, and that my software was causing it???? Funny eh?Leave a comment:

Never heard of an ORFCO map on any Bosch motronic box ever, are you sure this isn't something only used on Ford ECUs? EEC-IV or whatever they are...

okay probably a dumb question, brain finally kicking and remembering back to when I was actually writing engine management software, is their any reason why this problem cannot be fixed by changing the ORFCO map without having to re-site the MAF ?Leave a comment:
