hello to all team, im new i have an audi 80 station at my hands and i want to rebuild from start to audi rs2..
first of all i search for complete rs2 engine but i didnt find anything, any ideas for other engine who can transform in rs2 engine?
many thanks
-S2 ABY engines seem to be selling for around £3k.
-RS2 Turbo £950
-Injectors £300
-RS2 Exhaust manifold £500
-RS2 intake manifold £1500+
-Gearbox £300
-ECU £500
-Quattro system probably £500 at least
-RS2 front bumpers will be 4 figures, S2 ones are about £600
-Rear bumper probably £1k
-Interior around £1500
-Rear reflector £300
-Brakes all round £1000
-Clocks £500
-Aux gauges £200
-Headlights £650
-Exhaust £500
-Suspension parts £600+
And that is even if you can find the parts. Then youve got all the odd bits you forget about, wiring looms etc.
Personally I'd save up and buy an S2 and then upgrade the turbo, injectors, manifold and chips for RS2 power.
I think I saw you asking on fb today for a rs2 engine unless that was someone else. There was two people on the fb groups recently offering rs2 engines, both was close to 10k.
The list above Nathan has wrote is a good start but the prices on some of it are a bit low and missing a lot of rs2 specific parts.I've been collecting parts for a long time now to do a rs2 and I'm still chasing bits.
i think a decent s2 with some rs2 step modifications will be cheaper to buy then to it yourself. trust me
but good luck with the plan i did something like you also.
