3b coupe Bosch starter braided copper link available or ?

Hi All, my 3b Bosch starter has given up the ghost today, well the braided copper wire between the solenoid and the starter has failed, is this copper wire available to buy? if so is it relatively easy to replace this wire? anyone done this? If it's available what's the part number for the Bosch braided cable and the part number of the Bosch starter please?. Anyone got a braided link? or a starter for sale should I need one? I have my car up on 2 car ramps outside my house atm as it's not going anywhere atm, ..the starter is and always has worked fine, it's the braided link which has broken down, it's been playing up for sometime so now I have to fix it.. I've tried the 2 starter fixing bolts and they appear nice and free, just a bit of a berger to get at the top bolt, any tips to get them out easily? Need to get this fixed asap. Thanks in Advance Condor..

I had this on a previous car, I used 2 suitable eyelet connectors and cut several bits of ordinary cable to the same lengths, then I removed the insulation and squeezed the cables into the connectors and crimped them. Then I loaded the cable with solder after I'd fitted it to the starter.
I didn't have the correct gauge cable which is why I went about it as above, it was an emergency repair but worked, and it kept working, sold the car about a year later, still working.

Regards the correct braided type wire, not sure where you'd get it except maybe from a specialist electrical repairer?

I had this on one of my Avants whilst on holiday in Cornwall, was told by the Bosch agent that the part wasn't available as a spare so got an exchange starter.
If I’d been at home I would probably have tried to repair it, a piece of battery earth braid and some heavy duty crimps would do the job.

Thank you John and newsh, I've got the starter off the car now, decided to bite the bullet and get a new one..looks like around £200 ish for a Bosch ? ..DON'T SUPPOSE YOU KNOW THE PART NUMBER?. the top bolt in particular was awkward to get at... there were a few '' oh dear'' moments , is there a knack to getting at that one? I did both from below.. Is there a torque setting for those? not that I could get a torque wrench in there but it'd give me a rough idea on how tight is right .. Thanks again guys have a good weekend...
