    Aby cam position shutter

Evening all. It’s a bit of strange one I know but can any one shed some light on where the cam position shutter window should be in relation to the cam position sensor it’s self. Ie with the engine at tdc should it be before, after or bang on the sensor it self.

I believe it should be right in the middle of the window at TDC at compression on cyl number one. If it's not in the window at TDC the car won't start.

Yes, it should be in the window but it's not critical that it's absolutely in the middle. It's not defining the timing, that's done by counting the flywheel teeth and marker peg, it's just telling the ECU where TDC for the firing cycle is.

Ok thank you. So if I read that correct. The window has to be at the full open stage for TDC ?
