Possible to drive with RS2 injectors without remap?

    Well,

I need to drive 350 km, to reach the guy that is going to remap my car.

So I have the RS2 replica injectors from 034 motorsport, but I was wondering if I can drive the car all the way with the injectors? Iam a little afriad of it running lean.

If it aint possible I guess I'll have to change them at the tuners garage, which he said was oki, but I would rather do it at hope so nothing goes wrong etc.

Well what do the experts say is a go or no go to drive that far with the RS2 injectors?

Ohh yeah the car is a 3B, I also have the FPR from an 7A, but I aint going to fit that before we are at the tuners.

RS2 injectors are higher flow so it won't run lean, it will run rich.

I would change them at the garage, why take the risk especially as he's said you can do it there.

You'd have to use the formula posted by Mihnea / S2 central to try and work out the flow rate of the injectors @ 3 bar in comparisson to the 3B standard ones.

3B has 3 bar injectors and the new injectors are rated @ 4 bar so not 100% positive without doing a bit of math as it would give less fuel that specced figures.

I'd imagine it would be richer but I wouldn't personally take the risk.

This is the important bit, if the FPR remains the same then it will run rich.
          Ok Jason?
Why fit RS2 injectors if the 3b injectors flow more?

I will just do at the garage, will do a test change at home, to see how difficult it is

But as I understand it, if I run the RS2 injectors with the standard 3 bar FPR, then I dont really know the fuel flow since the RS2 injectors are running at 3.8 bar. So it might be runnng rich or it be running lean.

If you take it steady and don't do any WOT or mad acceloration, eg just keep away from full throttle you should be ok, the O2 (lamda) sensor should keep things in check.
