That depends of you are going for the generic remap or the custom map.
If the former id save yourself a few quid and get a homefry.
If your car is modified then a custom map will possibly release more than a generic map.

well i found a problem with my car which i have now fixed the recirculating dump valve was sticking and not shutting completely so cleaned it and put a small smear of grease on it now it shuts completly drove it up the road and the car has never gone so well probably like this ever since i have had it which would mean it was loosing boost pressure so with this fixed i went out for a drive which was when i found another problem
the pipe that goes 2 the inlet manifold has a rubber pipe in between it manifold and pipe with 2 clips on it i have never removed this or touched it

Well i was driving and all of a sudden had a lack of power and kept cuttin out then goin then cutting out felt like over boost protection and there was alot of boost noise
pulled over had it running could feel air coming out near throttle body had a quick look and at this time the engine was boiling hot checked the clip and it had ripped the teeth off the clip and when it boosted just blew out the pipe replaced the clip and the car feels amazing

If you know your car is in fine fettle and everything is working as it should then i dont see why Pauls homefry wouldnt be a good choice.
The fact that you have to go to MRC for their remap means they can look over the car for you to make sure everything is in good order prior to remapping the car - i guess it just depends on how clued up you are with your cars health as to what would be the better choice for you.
MRC could also do a custom map for your car if you wanted a little more and could afford the extra.
Guess it also comes down to cash at the end of the day - 250 quid for a homefry is hard to beat.
Yes and No the homefry was developed by S2central and had MRC ( Mihnea ) collaboration.

The MRC one is better in terms of ignition timing can be altered to the specific cars engine also the car can be pushed a bit further in any other mods are on it in relation to the generic setup plus the car is health check which IMO is vital after seeing Doug perfrom one on my Avant finding boost leaks and if the DV is working etc etc

For the money if all your ever going to do to the S2 is homefry it then it's great value, if your car has different cams etc get it MRC mapped.
