We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
Cheers Jas11n... I must admit, i am curious to know what relevance it has for the car...
What would anyone recommend in getting a spark plug out?? Even though i had it serviced, one the spark plugs would only retract so far... Any suggestions...

Reason: Forgot to ask
A decent spark plug socket has a small rubber washer in it which pushes over the ceramic insulator. This then allows you to pull socket up with the plug held in place by the rubber washer.
Try some blue tack, chewing gum or tap washer. Cut an old rubber floor mat up or just buy a socket with the rubber washer already in it!
Or do you mean one was very tight on the threads coming out?
Scary when that happens as you don't want to mash the threads. Best way is to untighten a bit, then tighten back down again, repeat very carefully and slowly until it's out. Don't however really force it, a snapped spark plug or a stripped thread is, in most cases, a head off job.

Pembo, cheers - but i obviously didn't explain myself correctly...
The spark plug retracts so far but becomes tight, i don't want to cross thread the head just for the sake of a spark plug... Will try your suggestion Jas11n.... This could be a long time coming out....
Was in Scarboro over Easter (In laws and garage to service) saw a RS2 Avant Lazer Blue, anyone on here??? Seen it parked outside the Grand hotel... Looked in g.c.
