Overboost protection checklist

Is there a definite list of things to check when someones gets overboost protection. I have diagnosed that by ECU fault code and also by usual symptom of cutting the fuel supply when maximum boost should come.

So far we have checked for boost leaks, swapped MAF, N75 and spark plugs, and whole ECU with MAP sensor and nothing. What else is there to be checked?

intake air temp sensor upset mine, they are expensive tho so be better to be sure first, have you vag com'd it?

Clean the MAF connector?

Yesterday we checked (swapped) TDC sensor, knock sensors, coil, APS sensor, TPS sensor with the same result - the car still hesitates and jerks after 3000 rpm on WOT. VAG COM does not show anything. Any more ideas?

Checked WG diaphragm, replaced TBV still nothing.

Check fuel vapors recirculation valve, mine is broken, an air flux enter in admission manifold and the symptoms are the same than yours.

bleed valve as in a manual boost controller. used to have one and it made the fuel cut off come in all the time

No bleed valve.. As for fuel I have 044 bosch fuel pump and it recircs 2l of fuel in minute.

try new spark plugs, i had a miss fire / hesitation from bad spark plugs
