Is this a k26/k27? Should I install it?

I need help identifying a turbo I bought a few years back, and your thoughts on whether it makes sense to install in my car.

The turbo has a K26 compressor housing part no. 5236 970 6411. The center section has the following numbers on it (though not 100% sure) 552-?-2699 and 035149585A.

The compressor wheel is as follows:
    16 blades
    exducer .75
    inducer .51

    compressor outlet is .45
    compressor inlet is .53
    exhaust outlet is .61
    exhaust inlet is .61

I was told that the compressor wheel is off a k27, but I don't know if it's true.

I have a K26 in my car and have been considering replacing it with this one. The k26 that I have in my car has a much smaller hot side. I believe the compressor housings are the same, but the compressor wheel on the one I have in my car does not have as many blades.

The inlet of the exhaust was worked on to smooth out the lip into the turbo, which I hope does not affect the integrity of the turbo.

While I would like to replace my k26 with this other turbo, I don't want to end up with more lag than what I now have.

Can anyone tell me if the compressor wheel is off a k27? If it is off a k27, what kind of performance can I expect given the fact that it has a k26 compressor housing? Lastly, what are your thoughts on installing this turbo on my car to replace the k26 that I have (which is the smaller version of the k26s)? Thanks...

middle section 552-S-2699. The compressor housing number is 5236 970 6411. The blue tag on the compressor states k-26. Thanks for the help.

It's the numbers on the blue tag that are important. What else can you see?

This could be a Porsche K27-compressorwheel in a machined K26-housing:

When I bought this turbo, I was told by the seller that a k27 wheel had been installed by a turbo shop in Texas.

The numbers on the blue plate are as follows: kund nr. 035 145 703L
            K26
            Atl nr. 85 698 0884
            Ausf nr. 5326 970 6411

If the turbo was modified with a Porsche K27-compressorwheel in a machined K26-housing:3072 GD exd. 76, ind. 54, what performance/lag can be expected from it? Thanks...

My camera is not cooperating. I'll try to get some pictures up by tomorrow.

I wish I could tell you if it was a #8 or #6, but the number was removed by whoever worked on the turbo previously.
