When RS2 are tuned to 360+ hp, what boost are they upped to?
For best performance is it better to unplug N75 and run on manual boost control (WG spring) or tune up the boost chip for that new pressure?
Thanks
As Shev said but to add that you do not unplug the WGFV/N75 as you have no protection if something goes wrong down the line.
The WG spring is usually changed to improve early boost onset and the rest is motronic reprogramming. Or at least it is if you use a tuner like MRC.
I've heard that motronic will not allow more then 1.3 bar boost when programmed and that it is the reason why n75 has to be unplugged so that boost can be controlled manually.
Sherv do you have a dyno plot of your car? When does the boost come and how it holds?
I am pretty interested in any dyno's from tuned rs2's, and how the boost map is looks like.

Not true!!! Even a remap on a standard S2 would see 1.4-1.5 bar with motronic! Take a look at any of the big power 20v turbos on here still running with motronic and the N75 Valve!
'93 S4 Avant now back on the road complete with new shiny go faster bits.

Boost levels: stock is peak at 1.3 Bar (1.4 Bar when trying hard) dropping
to 0.8 at the redline. Remapped it is peak at 1.8 Bar, dropping to 1.1 at the
redline.
quote from Doug at MRC when I asked so the answer to your first question is no if the tuner knows motronic
Got maps but was asked not to distribute. Boost is flat from earlier peak around 2800 with gradual fall off at redline as stated above. Never dyno'd mine mapped.
alg: thanks for info. Can you tell me what rpm is max boost (1.8 bar) at?
jamo: I think only the wheel hp counts, as different machines will show different flywheel hp (it's only a guess of the machine after all). So interesting would be to hear from Sal what is the wheel hp that his rs2 showed and to compare it to stock.

Other way round as different machines will show different transmission loss for wheel power making it inaccurate.
wheel power is very american. I always think in terms of flywheel as when figures are released this is the figure they release.
