    Lotus V8

Hello all. I have a non-Audi problem that I hope someone here could help me with.
A friend of mine has a 1997 Lotus esprit V8tt that I have been working on. The vehicle is only driven on weekends at track events. When the car is cornering at hi speeds, the vehicle stumbles. This happens on either left or right turns. Fuel pressure is steady at 60psi and anything else that you can think of has been checked. New plugs, coils, coil wires, injectors... have been installed prior to my seeing the vehicle. All the usual suspects have been checked. There is no problem with the vehicle running in a straight line. I have been looking at some software to read live data from this place http://www.lotusespritworld.com/EGui...ance/OBII.html
Does anyone here have any experience with this software?
    Thanks, Chris

Have you tried it with different (i.e more) fuel levels? Sounds like a fuel starvation problem.

faulty inertia sensor? (little black box with a rubber cover)
trying bypassing it - normally they're a ball bearing held by a magnet.

Thanks for all the replies and the suggestions. We have tried all of the above suggestions, changing out fuel pumps, bypassing the inertia switch, filling it completely with fuel, monitering fuel pressure, disconnecting the evaporative emissions charcoal canister.... still has same problem. The only way to duplicate the
stumble is while cornering at racetrack speeds. On the dyno, (363 hp on a Dyno Dynamics dyno unit) or driving in a straight line there is no running issue. Swapped out ECUs and problem was still there but maybe slightly less as reported by the driver. That is why I am looking at manufacture specific OBDII diagnostic software. Currently we are trying to find the Lotus OBDII reader but the dealerships that have them are not about to turn one loose to us. The generic code reader has been of no use.
Will the VAGCOM unit read manufacture spefic data for the Lotus or just the generic code data? Will it read live data? I need to see what is happening with the various sensors before we resort to "Plug and Pray".
Even with the running issues this weekend we were able to set fastes time of the weekend with a 1:15.08 at the BMWCCA meet at Putnam Park http://www.putnampark.com/
Again thanks for all the input,
            Chris

AFAIK it will only do the basics, dump codes and reset them.

Well I was hoping for another answer. Thanks anyway.
