    Unfortunately not VAS...

but the sport quattro has it's own part number for the engine foot So i guess it is quite a bit different.

What I would suggest Jamo if you can drill the foot and place a steel shim of correct thickness between the 2 and then bolt it up from underneath.

This pic is on here somewhere!
Like Steve, I was led to believe that the manifold sort of sits on pegs of some sort. It cannot be bolted to the engine mounting as it needs to float when it gets hot!

Here you can see the EM and how close it comes to the engine mount bolt. My mechanic back home did a small bracket which bolts at the bottom of the EM (on one of the screws), and the engine mount bolt.

i would assume on your car jamo, fitting shouldnt be that different. Seems to work ok this way. Im sorry that the photo doesnt include the bracket though

Blown the dust off my one!
I thought the holes in the bottom were unthreaded. That is not the case. So it would seem that something is at least bolted to the manifold itself. I am beginning to think that Audi used a support rather than something that allowed for expansion. Evidence for this is the (not noticed until now)remains of the threaded part of one of those fixing in the manifold! This would imply that it was sheared off, possibly by the expansion/contraction of a fixed manifold!

Oh-no, don't start that one Aelred!!!

It was taken at the 2007 FOS, so that'll give an idea what car it is.

Still struggling to see how it works
If the bracket/foot is bolted rigidly, how does it allow for expansion?
