My Forge DV006 is leaking from the screws, what to do?

Well just pressure tested my system, and my freaking Forge 006 DV is leaking from the screws that holds the two parts together.

It happens at 0.6 bar of pressure, now this is pretty ****** up if you ask me.

Any suggestions to what I need to do? Can it be fixed?

However Iam going to get the car remapped on sunday, so Iam planning to run at 1.6 bar. So I guess i need to revert back to the orginal one. Perhaps get one from the Audi S3 or RS2 or RS4?

    Cheers

Wrap the screw threads in PTFE gas tape from a local DIY shop.

    Should stop the leaks.

By gas tape you mean teflon tape right? Cuz that I got plenty off

Found my old S3 DV before i changed if I cant get the forge tight, I will give that one a go or jsut by new one.

No, not teflon. Teflon of TFE is not allowed to be used in gas systems by law as small pieces of the tape can get shredded, break off and get into system.

mine was leaking at the point of the longer tube which is screwed on the DV and kept there with locktite. It seems that there is a weak point there as the allen bolt hole is drilled all the way down to the position where the tube is placed, thus loosing air.
I too used some kind of ptfe tape and high temp tape to keep it shut.
However i also mounted the DV on the reverse side which indicated when i performed my pressure leak test that it didnt leak mounted that way.
No other leaks by the way so i guess this will help sort why im not getting full boost at 3d and 4th gear...i hope.I havent done any tests yet...

I've had two forge DVs leak on me sent them both back and despite the 'we can't find anything wrong but will replace it anyway' speech they sorted them out pronto.

i wrote an email to forge, since i have tampered with this one to make it leakless, and also bought it from a greek distributor, which means....no way im getting any refund or new item....
I was wondering though once again about the orientation of the valve. Why is it mentioned to be reversed in that site about dvs for better performance for the forge unit?Without knowing,i have used it on both orientations, not being able to tell any difference. Now that i will have some tests i hope i can see if it works or not...

Well I cant definately say that my DV from forge seals better one way then the other Actually the wrong way seals better then the right way.

I found the Forge DV worked better with boost from the lower hose in the picture below. Not the way that Forge suggested it be fitted.

How did others have it fiited when it leaked? The other way or the same?

Mine is fitted the same way yours and this is also how I found it to work best and with no leaking.

                          Cheers

well if you have fitted the lower tube in the picture posted to the pressure side then this is the NORMAL way, that forge suggests. The reverse way for it not to leak is the other way around.Meaning that the tube that goes to pressure is the one opposite from the vaccum inlet of the DV.
Mine was fitted the same as yours 4wheel and it leaked on the connection to the dv from the tube. Now although i did a smal modification to ensure that it will not leak,i tried to fit it the reverse way.I will go for some tests soon,i will let you know

Sorry my bad, I actually fitted it opposite of the picture.
What Forge refers to as the "wrong" way.
