    3B maximum boost.

Fitted my boost gauge and all seems fine, but I was just wondering how often should I see max o.8 bar boost. the car is a standard 3b with no cats, it boosts up very quickly
and holds the boost ,but not always at 0.8bar mostly at around 0.7,I also get this whisteling sound on full boost [mentioned in another thread] I have done a leak test and all seems ok. Samcos and mark H mod fitted no codes the only thing that I hav'nt changed is the wastegate.

Hi i had the same whisteling few weeks ago that drove me crazy......

the problem was a boost leak on the little pipe that connects the "idle motor" with the head basically the motor has two connections one straight that you can easy see and one that goes downwards this one had a couple of cracks in the inside part of the curve very hard to see the only way to discover them was to try to "pull" the curve open
check it i put my couple of euros that is that one

This hose should really be included in the samco kit.

How easy is it to change as i've worked on the end that goes into the idle valve but not the other end, does get a bit tight at the back there tho.

Really easy, undo the end by the throttle body hose then push the ISV back a bit and look straight down and you should see the hose clip where it goes to the manifold, take the ISV off along with its 2 hoses. Use a tiny socket with extension for the hose clips.

Or just take the ISV off if you can get to the clip so you've got a bit more room.

Hmm have to have a look at this, all i've really got from what I can tell is the sound of the boost/turbo building up. It holds boost no problem etc...
