Ahh ok i didnt realise you use the original 7A sensor part. I'm tempted to try this now if i can find an old maf cheap :mischeif:

If you look at the Sauger site he tells you which one fits. Basically you need the newer (1991 on) 7A MAF sensor which fits directly onto the large style 2.8 V6 MAF housing. Just need to carry out a set up as per Bentley manual and fit the uprated injectors for 185bhp. Fine tuning with a piggy back ECU can increase that to 190bhp, mainly through altering the timing or if you have an early ECU Patrick Carlier can fit an uprated chip.

Whats the crack with the v6 afm then ?

Ive checked the site out and tried to translate into english but it doesnt make a great deal of sense.

Is this mod much of a benefit then, is it worthwhile doing.

Well, I'm so far that I've got 3b intake manifold and injectors. My idea is to put turbo on, leave motor as it is, change ECU and then it should be much better under 3000 rpm. If I use stock 3b engine intake, k24 turbo, and drive 0.6 bar, then it should work and do nothing harm to my engine. I've heard that 7A engine should last 1.0bar pressure in stock condition. The max pressure comes 2300 rpm(0.6bar) and then goes on. Lets see how it works, hope to get it done soon.

On my old much missed 90 20vq, i did the following which made a huge difference.

1. replaced the cast exhaust manifold for the tubular version (work of that is)

2. de cat and stainless freeflow exhaust

3. k&n panel filter

4. chipped ecu

it absolutely flew, remember chasing a volvo s80 up the m62 from leeds to just outside of huddersfield at 120 it was still pulling hard, volvo gave up.......

oh and sounded just fabulous too, no idea what it was putting out, but it would also easily outrun a 3.0 A4
