Q: About pressure testing the DV?

    Hi,

I was doing some pressure testing today.

And I found out that if put pressure where the red arrow points, then the DV leaks at the other arrow. I dont have pressure or vaccum on the small inlet in the top of the picture.

It seems that the spring in the DV cant hold the piston shut. However Iam thinking that it is supposed to do so. Because normally there is also pressure on the little inlet and this keeps the piston shut. Iam wrong in my asumption or is my DV broken? I mean i tried a normal S2 DV and a baileyvDV and it was the same result.

    Cheers

you are correct.if you put pressure on the small vaccum hose, which is what happens when in boost, then the valve stays shut and doesnt leak
