On the 3B there's an elbow joiner on the hose from the DV where it goes into the MAF hose, its plastic. This is ok really as there's no pressure to speak of there, in fact there some vacuum. What I'd like to do is move the DV to the top of the hose where its easier to get to and the elbow to the bottom.
The plastic elbow will now be on the pressure side and will almost certainly leak, if you do them up tight they squash.
So my questions are: Is there a metal version of this 90 deg elbow? Does the ABY have one? where does the DV fit on the ABY? I have a feeling its easier to get to than the 3B and what does the lower turbo hose look like on the ABY and RS2? On the 3B the DV outlet is away from the engine. (If the DV outlet on the ABY hose comes straight up I might change to that one.)
