If I was that limited for space i'd use a charge cooler
Are charge coolers better or worse than an equivelant FMIC (generalisation I know)? Actually, scrap that question, I've checked on the net and nobody can make a decision, "how long is a piece of string" et al that!

They are normally smaller than ICs, is that right?

They require a seperate water system and radiator, right?

I'm no "expert" on this matter as I'm sure you all have realised so please be patient.

Yep, if charge-cooler is a water-air cooler. I'm planning on doing this to my urs4, but it will be in future, albeit next step after I get my new fuel pump, injectors and ECU installed.

I'm planning on placing the cooler and pump to the stock intercooler location, radiator to front of A/C and engine radiator. One thing I haven't planned yet is where to put "expansion" tank for water system. Being in Finland I have to take into account temperature extremes (the low ones ), so I'll be running coolant mixture in the system.
All quattro products have been dermatologically tested, and are safe for daily use.

Was thinking basically same as you if that is the route I was to go.
Coolant is definately the way to go as heat transfer is much better than water.

Ok, my current IC to fooked so FMIC time is here!

I've a few new thoughts and would like peoples comments on them.

          1. I've been told today that the rad and AC rad can be moved back on their brackets by about 2 inches, has anyone had any experience of this on the S6?

          2. Would it be worth keeping a standard IC (one that dosn't leak obviously) in the original place in addition to the FMIC?

          3. Would it be worth turning the standard IC into a chargecooler (seems like it would be easy enough) in the original IC position, and having an FMIC? Or would this only be useful if I was running big power? You know, a bad effort/gains ratio.
