no,we only used a wideband for the remap.I havent got a wideband on the car.Only the EGT sensor.

Hi there, I have s2 replica with GT3071, big front mounted intercooler, Iic on a 100 octane I did maxed turbo all whey out, peak was 33psi, then from 5700- 7000rpm it was tapering down to 25PSI, using RS2 EM, putting down this 464WTQ 437WHPAttached FilesDD 1990 CQT 800+HP SOLD

well,i know the power figures you did,but these where with 100octane which is something here in Greece even on the declared 98octane fuel you never actually get.Our fuel here is worse.
@andyP here is the site i bought it from.He also makes boost gauges as well:
@billman,these are some vids i took with mary onboard.I have yours and i will email it.
Erdal sent me a boost correction map to avoid the susrge, bringing boost a bit later but im going to ask him to tamper a bit more with it because if now boost comes later, and still drops fast then i wont have more fun!!
Also im thinking of having a stronger remap for boost reaching 1.8bar and keeping it to that area until 6800rpm-7000rpm,then dropping it to the red line a bit more, which is an area i never go anyway.
His concerns only have to do with:
1)high summer temperatures(maybe water injection can help a bit there
2)Bad fuel(have searched for some good fuel stations i know they have good quality and dont tamper with the fuel)
3)High backpressure from the .63A/R.Well this is something i cannot do anything about right now...
It seems as though Garrett has made a very nice turbo, only it surges so much, there should be no .63AR for our engines at all.Because what is the point in retarding the boost so much as to avoid the surge, and then having a ball bearing turbo act like a thrust bearing or 360degree bearing turbo producing the same amount of power? Now that i actually experience this i can say that i would be better off with a .82AR GT3071R turbo to begin with and this would also give me some more power on higher revs.
Well now that i have it i must do what is safely best for it...
By the way,can anyone explain to me WHY many people say that it is safer for engine parts to have high boost on high rpm rather than low boost on high rpm??Something to do with inertia of the moving parts...i dont know...(all this of course as long as the mixture is rich enough to avoid burning a piston!)Comment

These are interesting figures. Do you have a seperate topic on your setup, so we could dicuss this a bit further without hi-jacking this topic?Comment

It's really not a matter of boost only, timing has to be taken into consideration aswell.
My car wasnt boosting very high, but i suspect the timing must have been jacked to get the good whp.

I didn’t mean to highjack your tread.
With pump gas 93 octane, very mild timing map, 24psi, I had 366WHP 360WTQ

the only issue is that there are different dynos used. There are opinions that the dyno is more strict than it should as my tuner said it should be in the area of 360-380whp with this map.
Anyway, after i get some corrections made i will probably try it out somewhere else, probably a maha dynoComment
I can't wait to mount it on to my ABY
