Does anyone know how much the generic remap/chip is from MRC?
It doesnt have a price on their site.
What power/gains can be expected with one?

          Have you tried s2central@mac.com

Paul has a spare ECU he'll send out while yours is being done.

I would guess the spec of the Homefries and the MRC generic are very similar.

I pm'ed Paul about getting a chip sent so my local tuner (that ive used and trusted for 5 years) could fit it and not have to have my car off the road (he had already said there was a long wait for the space ecu) and got no futher replies.
It seems he doesnt want to send out a chip and would rather fit it himself, so I am now having to look at other options.

Slightly better than stock as it runs more advance.

a company called R-tec tuning will do my car for £200 and stating 280 bhp 420nm
I might try them if i cant get homefries
I've also booked my car in for a new 3" zorst & downpipe. But was thinking of buying the 3" stock location down pipe from 034 .Is the 034 downpipe worth the wait & shipping costs

I was in the same position as u and i went for the custom remapp by MRC. Took me to 281hp and that was with a blocked cat, so the figures quoted by MRC are accurate. I would go to MRC if u can not wait for the homefry. Also if u are getting the 3'' exhaust done then the custom remapp from MRC will take full advantage of that so you should see very good figures.
3'' Longlife Exhaust, Koni Adjustables, H&R Springs, Full RS2 Setup with Mr Nugents RS2 Chips (just need the RS2 Airbox)

Some things are worth waiting for if your going generic then homefries are the best thing since sliced bread.

If you want a true remap ask MRC for a real time map of your car.

There are other options that have been used by other members but the above 2 have given the best results on dyno days.

I believe Andy Casey hit 297 bhp after switching to the homefries and may have since broken the 300bhp barrier with a standard turbo.
